The Alano Club of Fresno is a non-profit organization.
The Alano Club is a membership club for people in recovery, and their families.
Clean & Sober recreation and socialization is very important in the recovery process.
We offer a variety of services, food, coffee, soft drinks, pool tables, games, and most important the ability to socialize and interact with other recovering individuals in a pleasant, informal setting.
The Alano Club of Fresno extends an invitation to all recovering individuals and their families to come by and see our facilities.
Our club is open to all recovering people.
The Alano Club of Fresno was founded in 1951 on Tulare and "R" street. It remained there for the next 20 yrs.
It was a place where sobriety was found by countless men and women at the meeting room upstairs around the old black table that Fresno "old timers" can tell you about. The meeting room was rented to A.A. by the Alano Club. The Alano Club was a place where sober men and women could have a cup of coffee and welcome new people into a new way of life.
It was as important then as it is today.
In 1971 the Club moved to its present location at
1350 N. Eleventh Street where it remains today, all these years later.
In 1998 NA Meetings started here and joined AA in spreading the message of recovery.
Our goal is to provide a safe Alcohol/drug free environment for alcoholics and addicts, while we learn to live life on life's terms.
We help the alcoholic/ addict achieve a sober and clean way of life, becoming a productive member of society.
